About Us
Melissa and Ben Asbury have been updating interiors and renovating properties since 2016. Our goal is for you to experience a moment in our home that inspires you to take a design idea back home with you. Not physically, just mentally and emotionally.
In these pages and in this home, we hope you'll uncover the same beauty we see. This community offers the perfect blend of small town southern charm with access to everything you need to make unforgettable memories with family and friends.
We have three girls and a little boy, so we know this is the perfect place to vacation with family. Ben is a firefighter and handy in all things, including all the trim carpentry on the walls. Melissa's love is found in family, creating beautiful spaces, and sharing this home so you can carry the experience with you. We're so glad you're here. Before you drive
LSV Safety First
Our six-seater golf cart is a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV), and your safety is our number one goal. A few simple guidelines keep every ride easy, fun, and worry-free.
Before You Drive
- All LSV drivers must be 25 years of age or older.
- Email a copy of each driver's license to Melissa@thebuyinghouse.com prior to your arrival.
- Sign the LSV lease agreement through DocuSign.
- Required before you driveEach driver must watch the LSV safety video and share the code word with Melissa, confirming they understand all rules and regulations for operating the vehicle.
Keep It Charged
- Please charge the LSV fully before operating it each day.
- Planning a trip to Seaside? A full battery is a must — once the charge drops to 30%, it declines rapidly.
- If the LSV runs out of power, towing is the responsibility of the guest and typically ranges from $200 to $250 per tow.

Find your perfect stretch of sand

Walton Dunes Beach Access
A 10 minute golf cart ride west on 30A. Tucked in a residential area with a public lot about 100 yards from the entry. No boardwalk or steps, so you can walk right onto the sand. Great for dropping off passengers and gear, but don't leave the cart unattended since parking officers ticket often. The lot is limited, so arrive early. Plenty of bike racks.

Under a 5 minute golf cart or bike ride west on 30A. Parking is $3 per day — cash only, paid daily for beach access. Clean restrooms, picnic tables, and dining pavilions with charcoal grills. The boardwalk is about a quarter mile long.
Get DirectionsGulf Lakes Public Beach Access
Best by bike, a 7 minute ride east on the pedestrian path on the south side of 30A. No golf cart parking on the south shoulder near the access, all the way to Camp Creek Lake.
Get DirectionsSeacrest Drive Beach Access
Just past Gulf Lakes, with north side 30A shoulder parking closer to the entry. Use the nearby crosswalk to cross 30A directly to the access.

Pool & Community
Pool Rules
- Pool hours: 8 AM to 9 PM
- No food or beverages in the pool or on the pool deck
- No glass or animals in the fenced pool area
- Shower before entering the pool — no sand, please
- Do not swallow pool water
- Children under 13 must be with an adult
- No lifeguard on duty
- Children not potty trained must wear a swim diaper
- No diving, rough play, or running around the pool
- No floats in the pool, except children's safety floats
- Have fun and make memories!
House Rules
- Please do not drape towels or clothes over balcony or porch railings.
- Grills are not permitted on balconies per fire code.
- Pick up after pets immediately.
- No smoking, drugs, or paraphernalia anywhere on the property.
- Please follow the noise ordinance for our neighbors — quiet hours are after 10 PM. Violation of quiet hours could lead to a $500 civil fine.
- Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
- Garage doors must be closed when not in use.
- Please close all doors to keep the HVAC healthy for future guests.
